The design problem for this project began several years ago with the client's request to remodel an early 1930's house and add additional space for a master bedroom suite, home office and a new rear entry. Other design requests included a major redesign of the rear yard to create various spaces to be used for entertaining guests as well as their own pleasure. Also, a New Orleans-style courtyard was created by the placement of a summer house across from the main residence.
